Beautiful Burberry Beauty

A few weeks ago I treated myself to a little makeup splurge (little in quantity not so little in price, oops). Burberry had released a few new products in line with their most recent runway show and I thought the new products looked gorgeous, matte liquid lipsticks, creamy eye-shadow pens, and a new foundation to add to their existing complexion range. I ummed and ahhed for a few days and then it was all a bit of a blur and the next thing I knew I had an order confirmation and would have my new makeup bits the following day. Burberry are an absolute star and give free next day shipping as standard, as well as beautifully gift wrapping your products, all the more reason to shop with them online, I'm already getting excited for their winter sale! Anyway back to the makeup…
The new Bright Glow Foundation is light-enhancing and skincare-enriched for a flawless complexion with natural radiance and it really is a thing of wonder and beauty. Packed with SPF 30 to protect skin and hyaluronic acid to help maintain skin moisture all day long it’s as much about protecting the skin as it is improving it. Enriched with white peony and white water lily to create a lightweight, luminous, illuminating base. Buildable coverage but it no way a sheer or watery consistency, a smooth, liquid formula that has a good amount of coverage and has a more satin like finish instead of a dewy finish, but leaves skin looking radiant, perfected and with that lit-from-within glow desired by most especially at this time of year when skin can be looking a bit lacklustre.
Straight from the Runway Edit, the new Liquid Lip Velvet in Fawn Rose No.09 is a beautiful nude pink with mauve undertones, a new statement-making matte cream colour with the most comfortable texture. Light-as-air, lips remain moisturised throughout the day with colour never fading. Housed in a luxurious smoked glass bottle, the packaging earns extra marks for this wonderful velvet lip product. Rich pigment, smooth application and a creamy texture to create a bold, velvet finish that claims to last for up to eight hours. I haven’t tested it for that long but can confirm that wearing it for 5 hours straight, I didn’t need to top up once, even after eating.
Eye Colour Contour- Pale Copper No.106. The creamiest mistake-proof eye-shadow pen, designed to sculpt and smoke the eyes for effortless results. Perfectly designed for use with one another for a dimensional look, but the colours are so pretty they look beautiful alone. The precision dome tip of the eye-shadow pen follows the natural curve of the eye making it so easy and simple to use. The creamy formula blends effortlessly and is crease-free as well as waterproof! The colour, despite being called Pale Copper, is darker than I imagined but so beautiful, it’s more of a burnt copper, but looks beautiful alone worked all over the lid.
Some beautiful new releases from Burberry, and some very welcomed additions to my makeup bag!
